God Of War 3 - Crank Bug

This is the sort of bug that should get Tester and QA Lead fired from the job. Controls not being responsive is one thing, but flat out giving wrong information to the player?

Judging by the bugs that have been discovered in the past week, ALL of the testers should have been fired.

I don't want to fully blame Santa Monica Studios though, since there was undoubtedly a lot of pressure and "corporate meddling" in the game's production.

Other bugs, rather glitches, are the norm in all games. GOW is just something we try to glitch as much as we can, so end up covering so much.

This bug is more a user interface issue, giving wrong information to user. As AKheon said, not a big deal from impact on gameplay, but unforgivable. Like the *bug* in PAL version's User Manual which says Titan is hardest difficulty and needs to be unlocked.

I didn't even notice this on my playthrough. Not like it's a big deal, there's only two directions you can push.

Nor did I. But this is sort of bug you don't expect to survive QA.

Am surprised how this got through. Guess play testers were too busy enjoying the game to look out for bugs.

Another theory could be that they only got one "example" animation for this kind of cranks, and they didn't bother to make a new one, despite it turning in wrong direction in this instance...
