Concert Info:

Historic show at the Royal Albert Hall, professionally recorded and filmed but shelved for several decades. Released on the 2003 official dvd.

But the Zeppelin forte, the closing 20 or so minutes were still to come and when it did, such was the rapport that when on How Many More Times, Robert Plant sang I" want you all to put your hands together..." the audience en masse had done so before he'd finished the request.

Strutting about the stage with arrogance, Plant is a most accomplished performer, drawing from the finest blues/soul-shouter traditions with a confidence out of line with his inexperience previous to Led Zeppelin.

His control is masterful; so much so that when he dragged out the lyric "I've got you in the s-s-s-sights of my gun," hesitating dramatically over the "s," the crowd was shouting back and filling in the missing word.

  • @enther7 They were doing a concert in a different country and i think something happened and the royalty of that country were named Zeppelin or had zeppelin in their name. So they had to change it for that gigg.

  • where i can find this bootleg?

  • This sounds like it is in E Flat because it has been slowed down a small amount. The drums and symbols even sound deeper along with plants voice which can't possibly be tuned down. I have the original recording of this exact concert and it does not sound like this.

This is in normal standard tuning, but the track is slowed down

  • @Harpdr11 This actually runs a bit slow.

  • Can you upload the other songs from this source?

  • its good to hear a different fuller version of this. I was at this and I wish they could have released more of the whole concert, though it was three hours long.

  • Page definitely does not play a half step down. I know, from the common knowledge of Page using standard, usually (save for 'Hey Hey, What Can I Do' 'The Rain Song' 'Going To California', etc.)

  • around 9:24 it is edited.

  • @tombolo191 No
