  • I heard the whole requiem and I have to admit that it's wonderful... never had I heard such a different requiem from the others... could somebody upload more parts of this piece? I can not buy this piece anywhere. Thank you.

  • Thank you for your comment.

I´m going to upload the complete requiem in a near future, the problem is that i don´t have the album where it´s contained, so i´ll have to borrow it again from the library of my university.

Wonderful!

  • Thank you for your kind words.

  • I was honored to perform the US premiere of this work in Boston Cathedral in the presence of the composer and under the baton of Sarah Caldwell in 1987

  • that something this intense came out as disco was about to rise in popularity is a testament to Alfred Schnittke's immense ability. Is entirely possible to claim him as a creative genius...

  • @babauzza wow! in che coro canti? dove? adoro queste cose, un giorno anche io vorrei far parte di un coro :)

  • It is a really beautiful beginning of a requiem! Something similar in the beauty created Valentin Silvestrov in the 4. movement (Largo) of his Requiem for Larissa

  • @mauimaestro357 I was in that performance as well...what an absolutely incredible experience...I will always remember it

  • Anyone knows where to find the score ?

  • O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done,

The ship has weather'd every rack, the prize we sought is won,

The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,

    While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;

    But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,

Where on the deck my Captain lies,

    Fallen cold and dead.

  • holy mother of christ i'm speechless

  • Sounds like HALO ^^
