A new US Army commercial tells kids not to go to college, and suggests that they may not be sent into combat, if ever. (For the YouTube lawyers, this is a 12 second snippet of a commercial, legally that's "fair use" for commentary, and in addition the federal government can't copyright its work-product).

I didn't just go in not knowing anything except benefits, I went in knowing the risks and dangers of the Army (deployment, getting shot, not always getting what you want, etc.) They will get you through college, but the reason why they pay for so much to get you into college, to give you the benefits you seek, and teach you honor, integrety, respect, courage, and great life skills is beacue you are serving your country and and by doing that you earn...

I'm in college AND in the Reserves. If you sign with ROTC, you cannot be deployed. But the recruiters will tell you that you can be deployed. There's ALWAYS a chance of deployment when you enlist.
