The Risale-i Nur collection is a six-thousand-page commentary on the Quran written by Bediuzzaman Said Nursi in accordance with the mentality of the age.
Bediuzaman Said Nursi, concentrated in the Risale-i Nur on proving the truths of faith in conformity with modern science through rational proofs and evidence, and by decribing the miraculous aspects of the Quran that relate primarily to our century.
This collection now has millions of readers both in and outside of Turkey.
Bediuzzaman understood an essential cause of the decline of the Islamic world to be weakening of the very foundations of belief. This weakening, together with the unprecedented attacks on those foundations in the 19th and 20th centuries carried out by materialists, atheists and others in the name of science and progress, led him to realize that the urgent and over-riding need was to strengthen, and even to save, belief.
Also, it explains the most profound matters of belief, which formerly only advanced scholars studied in detail, in such a way that everyone, even those to whom the subject is new, may understand and gain something without it causing any difficulties or harm.
A further reason is that in explaning the true nature and purposes of man and the universe, the Risale-i Nur shows that true happiness is only to be found in belief and knowledge of God, both in this world and the Hereafter. And it also points out the grevious pain and unhappiness that unbelief causes man's spirit and conscience, which generally the misguided attempt to block out through heedlessness and escapism, so that anyone with any sense may take refuge in belief.

  • @DJSHAHIR we sould listen him and care about problems of islam civilization, (as mentioned in "The Damascus Sermon") also by reading solutions of today's perceptions... and take action with peace, opening our hearts; with pleasant language of dialogue to everyone on earth...

  • @DJSHAHIR Said nursi says, "Risale-i nur may probably be the spirit reviver of this age; i am far from it, maybe as i write it down, my life can be a little kernel.(...)i was a kernel, languished and gone. All value is the meaning of precious Quran and its real tafseer, Risale-i nur." if i could translate it correctively, he did never feel any value from himself but he held this and write these books, under arrestments, tortures.. we can say he is a reviver, but he wouldnt like us to argue this.

  • @goodideawins As a Muslim, i have to forgive my fellow Muslim brethren. Risale i nur is just another explanation. i've read it. No problem with the book itself. Can u please tell me how do they deduce that Said Nursi is the last reviver? different muslims have different opinions.

  • @DJSHAHIR (2) ...and of course you have the biggest right to read whatever you want. forgive them, they want your goodness, today we as islamic world became weaker than ever happen. So Risales are giving you another "action" behavior to solve things and our problems from minor to major; from person to public, it gives a task everybody to complete. Older sources may not be because of that day's enemies are different of today's. Allah changing time and rivising duties like this.

  • @DJSHAHIR of course you'll never be an ignorant.. and they may love it so much, but no one has a right to say this. Thus, Risales are written very very close today. So approaches to the material, religion, today's perception, human being, and critisizing with other sciences is more accurate than older (14th century for instance) tafseers. And Risales had opened their eyes inshaallah. THIS is getting them to provide Risales so much. Risales also mentions of other scholar's perspectives.

  • @goodideawins First, can you please answer me if i'm ignorant if i don't read the Risale i nur? I don't disagree that if we don't know, we have to ask people who possess the message (as per the quran). How many times they've told me not to read tafseer Ibn Katheer or any other tafseers. That definitely proves that ONLY their way is right according to them. It goes against Said Nursi's teachings that says "you can say you are the best, but you cannot say you are the only one"(something similar)

  • @DJSHAHIR of course but bur risales are explanation of quran, a key to get deeper and deeper into it. this rises the value of quran, and directs us to read more and care about quran. and we know that we cant learn every detail from it, its a bigger source of everything. sometimes we need a strainer.

  • Unfortunately some of his followers told me once "whosoever doen't read the risale i nur is an ignorant".. i told him "ive read the glorious quran" No other books compares to it

  • mashallah!

  • so He is ever-ready, ever-attending to matters in every place but He Himself is not "present" in it (since He is "free" from it).

I wish the translators would pay more close attention to such things- I know for a fact that some people shy away from reading Risale-i-Nur because they find such grave errors in it, when in fact in Turkish those errors are not really there.

    Selaam aleykum.
