The legendary Cobalt Blues Band, of Philadelphia, PA. Live at the Blues Festival 1988 (venue: Bacchanal, 13th and South), burning up Crosscut Saw. Originally by Tommy McClennan, covered by Albert King among others. Featuring: Lenny Gordon on drums and vocals, Joseph Becton on vocals and harmonica, Rodney "King of West Philly" Burton on bass and vocals, "Montreal" Pierre Vendette on saxophone, Scott "the Man from Nantucket" Herzog on lead & rhythm guitar and vocals, and Kagan "Atilla" Arik on lead & rhythm guitar. That lineup of Cobalt rocked Philadelphia and the Eastern Seaboard 3 nights a week from 1985 until 1991. Cobalt is still around, although only Joe Becton remains from this lineup. The band was first founded by bluesman Rashidii Reynolds, Scott Herzog, and Kagan Arik, and included a number of great blues players through the 1980s, too many to list here. The full concert footage video from which the clip is extracted was originally recorded on VHS camera by Joel Ratmansky (Ratmanskymix), and presented to the author of this mp4 clip.
