  • @LaughsLikeGirl That very much sounds like a western flute to me. The ryuteki tends to have a much sharper sound. That also doesn't sound like a real shou.

  • Ah, yes. The scene in "The Cat Returns" where the Cat King's procession appears in Haru's neighborhood.

    This is a lot like "gagaku", or ancient Japanese Imperial Court music.

  • thanks for posting this video! It kind of reminded me of the music in the movie Return of The Cats... or at least thats what I think it was the main character's name is Haru. It's Japanese... anyone else seen it?
