your ones diff to the one i have learnt which is just one kick in sam tung but i guess it varies now

Quite possibly, but I've seen a few different sifus do Bic Bo this way, here and in China. Now you do know this isn't Sam Tong GOr Kiu (three ways to cross the bridge). In that form there is only one kick. This is Bic Bo Sam Tong (shuffle step, three way fist)
