How old are you? "stop trying to validate your critizism of Frida by saying you admire her cause you're only fooling yourself" (??) . I am norwegian, and liked Frida even before she teamed up with the other three (first album in 1971!). I think she was the better vocalist of the two A's.Frida normally records impeccable vocals, and she does a cute job on this one, but listen to the arrangement. Then listen to 'Barcarolle' by Montserrat Caballe. Even princesses lose their shoes once.

....although being an ABBA fan, this is a schmaltzy version of a beautiful piece of music. Nice voices, but a rude attack to a heavenly song. As when 'Idol' competitors are having a go at 'The Winner Takes It All'. The arrangement is syntethic and boring. Love you, Frida, but ehem, this was just a demo, and a japanese release, thank God.

I like it. Bravo Frida!!!

@rubisistra This is not classical music. Barcarolle, which is from the opera, Tales of Hoffmann, should be sung by opera singers, not pop opera singers.
-
Purely awful. Please stay away from opera material ladies. You don't have the voices for it.

@devotedtoopera perhaps, but since jessye norman, I have not been as touched.

very recognizable beautiful voice :))

Who is responding to my opinion of La Barcarole? I cherish this recording because it is so beautifully performed and obviously with an understanding of how fragile love is! How can anyone/-body reject to that? Beauty is SO much missing in today´s world. Love to all

No, Agnetha and Anni-Frid will never be forgotten; but a lot of nonesense is being written about them. Reducing Frida as being of lesser importance than Agnetha vocally is absurd. Together they made magic, and solo both brilliant!
