The budget restrictions also forced director Dave Tendlar and animator Marty Taras out of the studio at the time [they found refuge at Terrytoons in New Rochelle, where they stayed into the '60s].

@Mysticsloth This was released when Paramount Cartoon Studios (Famous Studios), had to use limited Animation techniques because of budget restrictions that prevented the use of the superior Full Animation that all of Little Audrey's other cartoons utilized. This is Audrey's only Limited Animation appearance.

funny to see how the animation got worse at that time though.. the older episodes were far better animated..

@fromthesidelines One thing about the Little Audrey cartoon is missed her laugh she always laughs at the end of each episode and I didn't hear the intro song.

This was Audrey's last theatrical cartoon, released in December 1958. Winston Sharples' music score was endlessly reused in "Felix the Cat" and other TV cartoon series, including "Popeye" (Sharples and Hal Seeger repackaged several of his 1952-'59 Paramount cues into a production music package).

Paramount Cartoon Studios' "Dog Catcher Popeye" had a plot which was very close to this Audrey film. Audrey's came first and Popeye's version was produced in 1961.
