  • @kalinga01 It is amazing how much you can pick up whilst reading and listening to the German language. It surprises me how much our English language has in common.

  • Amazing, I managed to get a tour on one of our retired Oberon Class subs at the Fremantle Maritime Museum and it just blows your mind .

  • What a gigantic sub, This would eat Virginia class submarines whole in it's torpedo launch tubes.

  • I wish the subtitles were more easily seen...I really love submarines and I want to learn about this one more. This is a great documentary, but I can hardly read the subtitles. If only I understood German.

  • That doesn't matter .If a Spearfish torpedo with - 300 kg (660 lb) of high Aluminised PBX explosive were to hit this subs hull ,it is going down whatever part of the sub is hit would be totally obliterated....Watch this..The torpedo in this video only has half the kinetic energy of todays new torpedos................ watch?v=Bht0t4Y2d_4

  • @williamblair11 You do realize that it's a triple hull design, right? It's designed to take a hit and still not sink...

  • @DeltaReconnaissance What?? Yes really. If you hit a Typhoon sub with a modern fish, its going down just the same as if you hit anything else.

  • @williamblair11 Not really....

  • Doesn't matter what size it is.You still only need 1 torpedo to sink it!!!!!

  • Are those beer keg's they are lowering?
