Barry McGuigan - Patron of Integrated Schools - fights religious apartheid

This is a clip of Barry McGuigan on News Week who is the Patron of Integrated Schools. He shows great common sense and REASON, regarding religious sectarian schools in Northern Ireland and Scotland. Barry argues the necessity of abolishing faith based schools if the peace process is to take proper root and become permanent in the future. In my opinion religion is ideology based on supernatural nonsense, and children should not be subjected to this abuse anywhere never mind at school. If they must have religion it should be confided to their house and church - well free from State involvement. Anybody who does not agree with Barry, I believe, is not serious about solving the sectarian issues in our society. Barry McGuigan - a great boxer and a great guy for tackling this serious issue right on the nose.

@32eire32jim The reason Irleand became prosperous was due to the EU and their handouts. Most of those EU handouts came from the British taxpayer, so be more grateful in future. Ireland was a poor backward country due to the Catholic church, the enemy of liberty, freedom and progress in Europe for the last 1700 years. This will open your mind and you can see the problems of Ireland in a different light. An organisation instrumental in the destruction of Ireland is the Jesuits. The book 'Black pope, A History of the Jesuits, by Ireland's nun, M F Cusack, the nun of kenmare. Avro Manhatten another ex-Romanist writes many books on the subject.

@32eire32jim It was the Scots who stood up to the English, when Catholic England was tampling all over the UK (remember bannockburn). The Irish were stamped into English rule and the Vatican reaped the rewards of that, in the 12th century. It was when England became protestant that the troubles in Ireland accelerated. I do not defend the religion of protestants as it is literal fundamentalist Christianity and as false as the Roman church. I defend there righ to live as they wish in Ulster.
