  • 99% of Canadians, myself included, would not give up our health care for any other countries system. It's not perfect, but no matter who you are, when you get sick, or get in an accident, you receive top quality health care and it doesn't put you in the poor house.

This is nothing but special interest propaganda.

  • Patients United Now is a front group for "Americans for Prosperity" which represents the interests of powerful corporations, including the Drug and Health Insurance Companies. This groups DOES NOT represent the interests of patients. This ad is anti-Health Care Reform propaganda paid for by the corporations who want to eliminate competition and block a public option. It has been discredited by EVERY independent fact check group on the net, and by USA TODAY.

  • Hahahaahaha! There in no more Public Option option.

  • I've four surggeries in Canada, and they were done in 4 days, 6 days, 10 days and 16 days. This is what really happens in Canada, not the lies of Shona Holmes.

  • You have killing insurance-run health care now. Anything would be an improvement over the insurance takeover of health care.

  • She did, but there was no need for her to. She wouldn't accept her own physician's diagnosis, and went to the Mayo Clinic which made the exact same diagnosis.... non life threatening beign cyst. She paid $97,000 for surgery at trhe MAyo Clinic in exactly the same time it would take her to have surgery in Canada, except in Canada she would have no out of pocket medical expense.

  • For god's sake, there are over 300 million of you. Did you ever think that if you ALL had some sort of shared plan (optional) that the premiums would reasonable? I've had some very serious surgery here in Canada and never had a problem. Ever!

Yeah, you might wait 6 months to have a wart removed. Shona is full of crap.

  • yes, I'm such a devout Obamatron I didn't even vote for him. LOL.

I support single payer healthcare. If Obama was HALF the socialist the right keep screaming he is, he'd be lobbying for that system. He isn't.

I continue to challenge my fellow progressives who continue voting for corporate whores (aka democraps).

    Have a great day/week/life.

  • I did but like a true Obamatron you're not listening.

  • Well, I truly hope this never happens to you, but if you ever get seriously ill and have issues with your insurance company, which MILLIONS have experienced, then yo will find out how our system does not work for lower and middle class people.

We have the best healthcare in the world for the rich.

In the industrialized world, we have the WORST healthcare for everyone that isn't rich.

It's time for reform! period. If you don't like Obama's plan, come up with your own ideas!!!

  • I'm middle income and I make choices. Nothing in life is free so instead of buying another car or house you can't afford go pay for your health care. You have to provide proof of car insurance so you should have to provide proof of health insurance. If you don't your employer should be required to buy it for you at your expense.

  • yeah, right now middle and lower income americans have it SWEET! (sarcasm). One million Americans will declare bankruptcy this year due to healthcare costs they cannot afford.

All of these scare tactics are just obfuscation to keep us from noticing how messed up things ALREADY are.

The left doesn't need propaganda and scare tactics- we have REALITY.

I honestly hope you never get seriously ill and have to find out the insurance company just rescinded your coverage (a common practice)
