Five castaways experience a scaled-down version of America's distribution of wealth, thanks to a generous mermaid.
I made this in Anime Studio 5.6, using Audacity for audio editing and Quicktime Pro to stitch it all together.
The "distribution of pizza" shown is based on data from the Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances, which is at least partially based on U.S. Census information. Census data tend to omit the extremely wealthy -- see Michael Parenti's article 'The Super Rich are Out of Sight' at http://www.michaelparenti.org/Superrich.html . So a lot of wealth is held by people so rich that the Census doesn't even have a category for them, and that wealth doesn't show up in the distribution data I've used.
Also, this is based on net worth including home equity. If you just look at "financial" net worth (not counting the value of people's homes), that also makes it even more concentrated at the top than what is shown.
Good one, Steve.
