  • The day Chopin died, Delacroix drew a picture of him dressed as Dante, with mantle and wreath. Under it he started to write and inscription: "Dear Chopin," but his eyes blurred with tears and he couldn't go on. His death touched him deeply and I think you've done well to pair Chopin's music with the art of the brilliant Delacroix. Thank you.
