Children's book illustrator Patrice Barton (http://PatriceBarton.com) on how she created the illustrations for the acclaimed new children's picture book "Mine!" by Shutta Crum

"Mine!" is Barton's second book for Knopf.
She is represented by children's book art agent Christina Tugeau. http://www.catugeau.com/

The full 90 minute discussion between Patrice and author-illustrator Mark Mitchell (this is an excerpt) was conducted at the Austin Museum of Art Art School Laguna Gloria campus on July 5, 2011 for students of the "Marks and Splashes" course on children's book illustration. http://howtobeachildrensbookillustrator.com/NewCoursehome2/
