Dear boy, we share the fault as I wasn't certain it was you, either. Must say I'm still a bit bothered that you called me a diseased v whilst Phil drove you to your flight. Did you take a plane? You're still my favourite nephew & your Champetre is even better than mine, you little minx. I'm sure the Scots loved your performance. Last week, your aunt Gwendolyn & I grabbed a couple of dishy young men in kilts outside the Scottish Parliament to entertain for the evening. Pity we missed you, dear!

Dear Auntie,
Sorry!!!! Just performed Poulenc in Scotland. Tons of fun!

I prefer not to say as they're all friends.... I mentioned Vinikour because no one would dispute my description of that incomparable artist.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! I just realised to whom I'm writing. A thousand pardons, my dear boy. You must know that Phil is rebuilding that very instrument as I write, as if it needed anything. Be a nice boy, then, and stop by for a nice cup of tea when time allows. You aren't very good about keeping in touch with your auntie.

Thanks for the correction, Harpsicat; my mistake. Phil rebuilt my 1931 Pleyel and I've been to the beautiful home he shares with Dave and Nefertiti. Small world, is it not?

Hi, Wanda!!! No, this was recorded on a most spendid instrument built by a certain Cucchiara in Cleveland. It sounds much better than the instrument in the National Trust at Fenton House.
Jory Vinikour is one of the four or five great harpsichordists presently on the concert platform. I believe this recording was sponsored by the National Trust and recorded on an 18th century English instrument. Thank you for sharing this magnificent performance.
