http://www.pbs.org/wnet/need-to-know/culture/eugene-hutz-immigrant-punk/2812/ The gypsy-punk band Gogol Bordello is touring the world -- but it won't be stopping in Arizona. Ukrainian-born front man Eugene Hütz talks (and sings) to Need to Know on PBS about the band's new album, his Soviet roots and advocacy for immigrants' rights. Need to Know airs Friday nights on PBS. • I enjoy their music, have seen them perform live, and the message here is right on. But what I'm wondering is, what's up with that bracelet? It appears to be a strapped-on leather creation that holds several crayola crayons, in different colors. I haven't seen anything like this before. I guess you never know when you might need to color?

  • In soviet russsia, music play you!

  • I found out about these guys by mistake, and it wasn't because I "stumbled" upon one of their videos. I was at a SOAD concert in chula vista and my dad said "hey the warm up band actually sounds pretty good lets go check them out". And soon enough I was sitting in a crowd of people watching a Gogol Bordello concert that was so appropriate because as SOAD is an Armenian Genocide recognition advocate band, Gogol Bordello is an immigrant rights advocate band, and I love their music!!!

  • @TheGameInfoGuy No, if anything his best line is "were you able to manufacture the zzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

  • i live in arizona, naturally making me a horrible person that doesnt deserve to hear my favourite bands perform live. i disagree with a lot of the things being done in this state, as do a lot of other people living here. i love it.

  • "It's fighting double standard, yo".

  • @nuttylibrarian it looks like a bullet belt bracelet, he just took the bullets out and put in crayons =D

  • "Grandfather infroms me this is not possible."

One of his greatest lines ever...

  • @nuttylibrarian I think it is brilliant! Usually those cuffs are decorated with bullets. Creativity vs violence.

  • @syrenia09 Kinda? no kinda. just is

  • I saw them live they were amazing!

  • @conejaverde America is good at one thing, good old fashion hard manual work.
