I'm not a musician, but base on your comment if you are aiming to try out music I think it is important to pick which style your are comfortable with in Laos music. Your voice have to fit your character and music style. There are viariety of them, example, morlam. You have to start from the root and follow the music style rules. Once you understand and get better you can bend the rule to make them work for you. It is not that simple but nothing is impossible. Also learn from expert. Good luck.
