Over the past few days, a mid-latitude cyclone has been keeping much of the U.S. damp and gray. The NASA/NOAA Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) captured this the storm system as it spun over Chicago from midday on September 25, 2011 until early morning, September 27.
