QI - Stephen's Space Hopper

The QI panel is talking about wheelie trainers (on the compilation episode "Elephants"), and the discussion leads on to Stephen telling them that he had a space hopper when he was a child(8 years old ^^).

It's a big rubber ball with handles on that kids sit on and hop around with. It's less common in america, so don't worry :) It's called a pogo stick in the UK as well what you are referring to :P

but a bouncy ball is a small one that bounces if you throw it. Could be a big bouncy ball then that you sit on? :) But yeah, they probably have some word for it.

@Akfilm92 I can't speak for Americans, but Canadians (at least in Quebec) call it a Kangaroo Ball.

@CairoDuqane space hopper is a rubber round bouncy thing with ears to hold on to and you bounce along
