Jim is a psychologist, and former member of the board of PP55, and the Association of Black Princeton Alumni. He is a founding board member of the Class of 1969 Community Service Fund, a founder and vice president of Princeton-in-Africa, and serves on the Alumni Council Committee on Community Service. He received the Alumni Council Award for Service to Princeton, the Association of Black Princeton Alumni Award for Service, and a University Service Award for Commitment and Contributions to Students. He is a visiting lecturer in Princetons psychology department, and a member of the board of the Class of 1969.
