It's back to the Lake District for this watercolour landscape painting demonstration of the view to Crummock Water in Cumbria. For this lesson I'm using Cotman watercolors Raw Sienna, Burnt Umber, Light Red, Ultramarine, Lemon Yellow and Payne's Gray. The brush is the large Ron Ranson hake and the paper 130lb Fabriano 15" x 11". Thanks for watching and have a go - it's easier than you think!

  • @dudette25297 for the Burnt Sienna colour I use Burnt Umber and Light Red. Raw Sienna is very similar to Yellow Ochre if you have any of that. Very best of luck. Thanks for watching.

  • Is there anything else i can use to make the Raw and burnt sienna?

  • @mattyboy22001 thanks mat. I squeeze large amounts from the tubes onto the palette and then allow to dry so effectively they're like very large pans. Yes I'm regularly washing the brush out of shot. Thanks for watching.

  • @henrycems thanks as always Henry. Much appreciated.

  • Excellent painting as always. Do you use paints from the tube or pans. Also - do you wash the brush at all during the painting? Cheers

  • Great painting It shows a lot of distants and I love the hill on the left hand side very good.
