First film shot on my Cannon HFS 200, and also first project edited in Final Cut Pro X. For the most part I'm happy with both. I still have a lot more to learn about color correcting and working with audio. I used a lot of in camera audio, so at times there is some unfiltered background noise. As usual, my three sons take center stage. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave comments and criticism. Thanks for watching and please watch in HD!

  • This is fantastic! I really loved this. Great sound effects, lighting, actors, camera work and editing. I always have trouble getting it to not look washed out, this looks great. You achieved the creepy movie feel very well in this. Nice film posters downstairs too.

  • @MeganKienas Thanks Megan. I used the "Final Cut King FIlm Effect" method for the look. If you are using FCPX, you should check out his tutorial on layering video. The kids did a great job acting, and the lighting was cheap shop lights from Walmart. I use freesound.o r g for almost all of the sound effects. I've been collecting those posters for years. The one in the living room is an original Planet of the Vampires from 1965. It's my favorite. Thanks again for watching and the comment.

  • @702SinSuper Thanks for watching. Yeah, i used a homemade dolly and some cheap shop lights from walmart. I felt like I dropped the ball on some of the lighting tho. Thanks again!
