The Drama Of Dresden
The 13th February 1945 was to be the day of destiny for Dresden. Squadrons of Allied bombers attacked the metropolis on the River Elb. It took only one day and one night to destroy completely a city that had been built up over the centuries. Sebastian Dehnhardt was awarded the International Emmy 2005 and the Magnolia Award 2006 for his documentary about the devastating air-raid.

The baroque city of Dresden, known as the Florence of the Elb because of its magnificent buildings, was one of the few German cities to have been largely spared Allied bombing during the Second World War, but in just 24 hours the city was reduced to rubble. At least 25,000 people suffered agonizing deaths in the fire-storms which swept the city. The film provides a dramatic account of these tragic events, from the perspective of both the inhabitants of Dresden and also the British bomber pilots who mounted the air raid on the city. They were all part of a tragedy which left nobody victorious.

The SS uses machine guns strafing entire villages, with women and children, taking them for "POTENTIAL PARTISANS", and the RAF Bomber Command, by white phosphorus and rubber or gasonline jelly, suffocates and burns housing areas or city centres with high density of population, killing women and children and elderly as "POTENTIAL MUNITIONS WORKERS".

The SS and RAF Bomber Command, USE SIMILAR EXCUSES. Only the method of killing differs.

@orwellawareness Maybe you should take a look at the survival rate of the bomber crews of the RAF before you claim they were not brave. what about artillery battalions miles from their targets? Its called horizontal bombing friend and its what the army does. As well as the Mine layers, or do suppose those only kill combatants? Innocents die in all wars, they always have. Most men are not brave, they are not given a choice to not fight. That is a fact.

Army soldiers who fight soldiers of an opposing side in armed confrontations are brave men.

The bravery of airforce crew is similar only in that they must overcome the fear of being shot down, but other than that they are complete cowards because they know that many of their bombs are likely to kill innocent civilians, women children and other non combatents.

The Nazis were perhaps to a great extent "power mad bastards" but those civilians who died under the Allied bombs didn't die for any higher principle. Their demise was A MURDER.

This MURDER was committed in order to diminish Germany's population and in order to SHOW UNCLE JOE that the same will be done to the Russians if he doesn't "behave".

No, the facts won't change. The Allied who were responsible of the massacre of Dresden have tried their best to hide the truth.

The same applies to the whole legacy of the so-called SHOCK AND AWE. There are people who fear that Dresden would be duly investigated for that would lead to the honest investigations of Hiroshima, the bombings of Vietnam & c.

I believe that only a small part of bodies were found for several reasons:

(1) the temperature rose to 1200 centigrade under the great fire column; you can cremate an adult body in 600 centigrade in 45 minutes;

(2) There was a "HIATUS" in the body count, between the German and Soviet authorities;

(3) Bodies were simply cremated and disposed of due to the fear of epidemics.

I am not lying. I believe really that only those ca. 25000 bodies were found.

But, as I said, it is NOT COMPATIBLE with the MATERIAL DAMAGE.

PARTICULARLY ONLY BODY PER THREE COMPLETELY DESTROYED DWELLINGS. Then you add the refugees whom were outside in the parks. Then there were those ca 30 hospitals and 30 hotels FULL BOOKED.

The "official" death rate is political "CONSENSUS".
