@buccigm if you check out mirasol displays, next year's ereaders may be in color and with much much faster refresh rates (at the expense of battery life of course)
@iceberg567 you don't need a night mode because it doesn't emit light. But to answer your question, no it doesn't (as far as I know). Contrast and brightness are adjustable and no combination gives the effect of night mode (I played with mine just to make sure). High contrast and low brightness seems to give the best readability.
nice comparison. The 950 is pretty awesome with the touch screen I've used an ipad and my eyes can't take it. I'm lookin forward to gettin an ebook reader probably a sony one soon.
Thanks for the useful preview. I never realized how annoying it would be scrolling through a web page using e-ink. Much worse than just reading ebooks, for sure.
Plus, the prs-650 has a severe problem when reading in horizontal mode, since lines overlap and you cannot read properly. Did they fix it in this model??
I have the Sony PRS 900 and am very happy with it. The 950 runs faster and the screen looks better. Though its not enough to make me spend the money for the new one. I am content with the 900........for now. I am sure next year they will have even a better E Reader
One more question ... I usually download public library books via Adobe Digital Editions. Can this be done via the web browser on the PRS 950, or would I still need to plug into a pc to get a downloaded book from a public library to the Reader Library and then moved to the reader?

Just curious where you found the 950? I'd love to look at one in person.
