We own a 1942 Sterling-Howe fire truck that has been in Dillon and Frisco, Colorado all of it's life. Those two towns are at about 9,000 ft elevation in the Colorado mountains where they get an average of 300-inches of snow per year.
It boggles my mind to think they would buy a topless, roadster style fire truck with no heater and no top, and no doors at that location just to save a couple of seconds geting in and out!

That's so cool.. We keep our 40's pumper in an ice house, no windows, get it out once a year. It's always brown from the dust.
