@rexenne Thanks! We Rex's have to stick together! People used to call me Rextifer, lol. I cant stand scratchy yarn myself either. I'll keep my eyes open at the thrift stores from now on. Thanks so much!

How did you recycle the sweater into twine? Was it simply unraveling the sweater or something similar? I'd very much like to Know how to do that! I can even send you a sweater or two that you can demonstrate on if that would help.

@Reximusprimebeta LOL! Love the username. I has a friend who calls me Reximundous. Teeheehee! Anyhow, I found where the sweater was started, cut the yarn, then just unraveled it like you would any knitted project you would frog. It didn't turn into twine, it's still the same yarn that was knitted into the sweater but I just dyed it to make it different. I knit it into a red scarf & donated it to the Red Scarf project. The yarn was too scratchy for my use.The ultimate reuse-reduce-recycle project!

<:3 QUESTION: How much dye do you use per ounce of yarn?
keikothemeowmeow 1 year ago
@keikothemeowmeow I don't really measure it that way. Makes the outcome pretty much unpredictable & fun!! Read & Follow the directions on your dye container.
