Why don't you buy 'normal' [I don't like using that word -- you're not abnormal -- I just can't think of anything else] sized pants, and get them hemmed?

As I've said to others, paying to get them hemmed is ridiculous. My mom will do it but rarely. Some day I might be able to do it myself but now I'm afraid I will end up with messed up pants. I just wish I could find pants that work.

why dont you just buy pants that are too long and get them tailored? that seems easiest to me.

Spending extra money just to get pants to fit? Not easy. They already cost enough to begin with. But my mom will sometimes do it...

I feel your pain. Women's clothing is made to look good on tall, thin people who apparently have no hips or butts. It's a conspiracy.

Shopping should be fun, but it usually just ends in frustration!

I'm 5'0 just about 5'1..the break in the knees and the crotch area are shorter than "normal' sized pants.most womens clothing are designed for a woman that is 5'6 and up..

I had the same problem but I just buy any jeans know and if they are to big from the bottom my mom cuts the bottom off of the jeans.

I am shorter than you, and I can totally relate. I can go to most stores, but still run into this problem occassionally. The best thing you could do is make great friends with a tailor. I have Mr. Sammy who makes all my alterations. It costs more, but everything fits. Furthermore, petite clothing ususally costs more anyway.

i'm 5'0 tall and i usually go to the dry cleaners or give my dresses and pants to my grandmother to hem. it's not very expensive either. i'm curious where you live though, because where i live there is usually a petites section in all the young adult and business adult stores with very stylish wear.

I agree, finding pants when you're short sucks. I usually go to Pacsun to get my pants. They have different lengths.
