I remember dropping by Ronny's place somewhere in the LA area in the late 1970s and scoring some of those Rollin' Rock 45s and LPs. Jimmie Lee was loitering in the living room, wailing on the guitar through a large amp--but it WASN'T r-a-b, it was a bunch of cacophonic psychedelic noize, LOL. Ronny, my friend, and I just ignored it best we could. This tune here is right up my street, though! I may have bought a copy and had him autograph it, can't recall. Hell it's been a dang minute.

Bill Allen (orig artist) is my older brother. and THIS is the BEST version since the original. Great Job! When Bill wrote & recorded thisback in '57, times were much more primitive. Again, kudos to you!

Ah !! Jimmy lee, He stayed with me in the early 80's along with Johnny Legend & the Magnetics (whom I ended up playing bass for)..Jimmy Lee The salacious Rockabilly Cat !! Love his voice & guitar.

Met Jimmie when he came to the record shop I worked at.. he was looking for Jackie Wilson LPs. He was around 16 at the time. He played a good guitar and performed with Ray Campi, but also studied with a very good friend that I introduced him to, Billy Johnson, guitarist of R&B group The Moonglows. Jimmie played with many top artists & produced recordings by Blowfly and others.He owns Ahi-Nama Records a hot Cuban music label & The Hershel Gordon Lewis ("Blood Feast") film catalog.We spoke today.
