Inseparable - A JB Love Story [Chapter 7, Part 2]

When we left off, Jay and Caroline met the boys at the mall and left them to prepare for Jay's night with Joe...

Caroline: Dude, why don't you just do a drive-in car wash?
Jaydlyn: I don't know where any are.
Caroline: There has to be some somewhere, even on this street.
*Ironically enough, Jaydlyn pointed to a car wash that was directly across the street from the parking lot.
Caroline: Nice.

AFTER THE GIRLS CAME THROUGH THE CAR WASH

Jaydlyn: Now you have to show me where this restaurant is.
Caroline: The Ocean Grille one? Yeah, it’s in the Marriott. I'll show you.
*After a couple of wrong turns and about a half an hour, the girls found the Marriott.
Jaydlyn: You wanna come with me to make a reservation?
Caroline: Sure.
They walked into the restaurant and up to the reservation desk. The lady looked up over her glasses.
Lady: May I help you?
Jaydlyn: Yes, we've come to make a reservation.
Lady: Okay, what time?
Jaydlyn: Somewhere between seven-fifteen and seven-thirty.
Lady: Okay, hold on. Let me check to see if there are any spaces available. *looked through book* Yes, we do.
Jaydlyn: Okay. Like, do you have VIP rooms or something? Like, private dining rooms?
Lady: Um, yes, but...that's for VIP only.
Jaydlyn: Oh, I know. This reservation is for Joe Jonas from the Jonas Brothers as well.
Lady: Oh, well in that case, of course. With oceanfront view?
Jaydlyn: Yes, thanks. I will see you later, then.
Lady: Alright, goodbye.

*The girls walked back to the car.*
Caroline: I find it kind of interesting that that woman's whole demeanor changed when you mentioned Joe.
Jaydlyn: I know. It's crazy. What time is it?
Caroline: Five-forty-five.
Jaydlyn: Oh, snap. We're in trouble. We got to get home!
*They got home at about 6:15. They rushed into the house and ran up the stairs until they were stopped by Jaydlyn's mom, Carrie.*
Carrie: Whoa. What's the hurry, girls?
Jaydlyn: Mom, I've got a date tonight and I'm running late.
Carrie: Oh, the Jonas one. Well, I will meet him tonight, right?
Jaydlyn: Yes mom, but right now I've got to get ready.
Carrie: Okay, sweetie. Hi, Caroline.
Caroline: Hi, Ms. Carrie.
Jaydlyn; See ya, mom.
Carrie: Wait, are you taking the Volvo?
Jaydlyn: Yes. I was planning on it.
Carrie: Okay, just checking.
*They ran to Jaydlyn's room and started getting ready.*
Jaydlyn: Caroline, can you find some shoes or something for the dress?
Caroline: Yeah, sure.
Jaydlyn: You know, Care, I just had the weirdest thought.
Caroline: What?
Jaydlyn: What if you and Nick went out?
Caroline: Jay, I don't think so.
Jaydlyn: I can tell.
Caroline: How?
Jaydlyn: Because you didn't totally go berserk when I said so.
Caroline: I don't know, Jay.
Jaydlyn: Dude, and you totally didn't shun him when he talked to you.
Caroline: No, Jay.
Jaydlyn: I will at least tell Joe about it.
Caroline: Don't embarrass me, Jay.
Jaydlyn: I won't. I know exactly what I'm doing.
Caroline: Okay. Is your hair cool?
Jaydlyn: Yeah. I'm putting on makeup.
Caroline: You know, now that I think about it, Nick is a little cute.
Jaydlyn: Awww.
Caroline: Just a little bit.
Jaydlyn: I will never let you live that down, Ms. Anti-Jonas.
Caroline: Hey, I still don't like their music.
Jaydlyn: How can you like a Jonas Brother and not their music?
Caroline: I don't know. Nick sounds sweet, but I just don't like the music that he makes.
Jaydlyn: Care, you're just so backwards.
Caroline: And you're just so late. Jay, you have like five minutes!
Jaydlyn: Where's the dress?
Caroline: Here, put it on!
*The doorbell rings*
Caroline: Aw, crap.
Jaydlyn: It's cool. Where's my purse?
Caroline: Here. Wait, do you have money?
Jaydlyn: Caroline-
Caroline: Take my card. It's fine. I promise.
Jaydlyn: Care, you don't have to do this for me.
Caroline: But I am.
Jaydlyn: Okay, let's go.
Carrie: *shouts from downstairs* Jay, Joe is here!
Jaydlyn: Yeah, mom. I'm right here.
Joe: You look nice.
Jaydlyn: Thanks.
Caroline: I picked the dress.
Jaydlyn: Yeah.
Carrie: Okay, well, I guess I'll see you kids later.
Jaydlyn: Bye, mom.
Caroline: See you later, Jay.
Jay: Bye, Care.

Yay! Finally they are off to the date! It took long enough (my bad, I'm very detailed). Anyways, will they get caught by fans? What about that mean receptionist at the restaurant? What about Ms. Anti-Jonas? Does she have "secret desires for Nick? Ohhhh. Well, I guess you'll have to find out in the next chapter!
