@jason21054 No: she's saying the costs of parenting vastly outweigh the momentary pleasures of sex -- and the baby is a 24/7/365-366 responsibility, utterly helpless in the beginning, whose costs of care are above and beyond the prenatal and delivery costs incurred by its mother. She was lucky to have a family that could indemnify her; she is no ingrate, so she refers to them as her saviors: without them, her "life" was over. Not pointing that out would have been irresponsible.
