For those that like the noise and chimes of old SGI mips`es. Indigo2 is one of the first powerhouses that powered many many desks operating in media production, scientific labs, etc ... in mid. 90`s. I shorted up a little the entire sequence so not become boring...

... interested in this old but coooool stuff ? want a nice go with some of these legendary boxez ? visit nekochan.net and go ...

... Don`t be misleaded by the camera angle and lens effect, SGI Indigo2 is one big and HEAVY piece of hardware, and is quite bigger than my hand lol ...

  • isn't about any newer quad core way faster

  • haha, offcourse this baby runs at 195Mhz which is 0.195 Ghz and if you take in mind is 15 years old, it still can fire up Maya or Alias Wavefront and make 3D with it ... which is amazing

  • lol, the memories.

  • @Iezoyi A 1Ghz cpu in one of these can outrender some P4 cpu´s if I understand correctly. Newer SGI´s used a kind of crossbar architecture you only see in supercomputers. I´m still reading up a lot on SGI machines, but I really want my own.

  • @Jallandhara you tell him brutha

  • @Iezoyi HURR DURR AREN'T COMPUTERS MADE TEN YEARS LATER FASTER THAN THIS DERP DERP DERP?

    Fucking retard, kill yourself.

  • beautiful computer ! This is a history! Fuck unfeeling PC's with win 7 ! sgi not death!

  • It really does depend on what you do, if you do animation from home this may be the way forward, but they are fun aswell. As I have said it depends what you want to use it for!

  • what one can do with them today, i mean are they useful or only used for fun purposes ?
