The new Kindle is smaller and cheaper ($189 for the 3G version, $139 for Wi Fi). We take a first look to see what else it has to offer.

I love using the Kindle but the screen on the 3rd Gen breaks if you look at it too hard!
I had to call and get my one month old unit replaced tonight.'
At least Customer Service was easy to deal with.

Yikes people. The point of an e-book reader is not to replace ONE book but to replace like ALL your books. Of course sans the pictures. Great for classics like Moby Dick or War and Peace.

7.8 ounces, thats heavy? how does that compare to a hardcover .....

I honestly would never think about buying one and for $189 wow the library's much cheaper.
