  • so who won??? :D

  • @myrduck UP

  • I'm curious emstrad. Why did you chose that particular piece for Fanastic Mr. Fox?

  • @zaong it's the best moment of the score for me

Top Comments

  • A Single Man should have been nominated and won.

  • I think the music of Avatar is enchanting, and there is no place for The Hurt Locker among the best scores of 2009.

  • horner, Desplat and giacchino stole the music of Hans zimmer !!! oscars are really crap

listen Lion King, as good as he gets and renaissance man

  • up is a plagiat of 'as good as he gets' theme of hans zimmer

  • @veimar15 Bet you haven't seen Up. It was the movie that's the most worthy to get the Oscars. And imho also worthy to get the Best Picture category. And no one thinks Up or its any of its scores are mediocre.

  • What is the criteria of this competition? As a professional musician I'm sometimes really surprised at the jury choices as they chose quite mediocre music as a winner.

  • why was avatar nominated and not Moon? i believe the category is best original score

  • Up deserved to win. But I also wished Moon had got a nom for it's score too, or a nom in general for that matter. Avatar's score is a typical blah fest for me, it's only got a nom because well, of the hype and effects.
