This was my first trip to Shea Stadium. During perhaps the most important game of the season for the Mets, Johan Santana came up huge. If the Mets won their next game, his performance would have gone down in history as one of the most clutch performances. Let's Go Mets!

This is the final out of the game. Notice the Mets fans cheering when the Cubs took the lead on the Brewers. Ignore the shaky camera work and enjoy the crowd!

  • I just hope Santana will be ready for Opening Day! We know he's lights out during the second half of the season (as shown), but if he can have a strong first half, the Mets will make the playoffs!!

  • This was my only time ever making it to Shea. It was an incredible atmosphere -- and what a game it was. The fans were intense the entire time! And you can see around the 1:40 mark where the Cubs scored to take the lead on the Brewers. Mets fans are passionate AND they know what's going on. LET'S GO METS!

Sorry about the shaky camera work! It was crazy there! HAHA

  • Wow, your first game at Shea was it's next to last? This was the last of about 300 for me. Was a great performance by Johan. What a shame they shit the bed the next day.

  • i was there!!! awsome fuckin game

  • People can say what they want, and argue until they're blue in the face, but, by far, Johan Santana is the best pitcher in baseball. By FAR!

And I was saying this long before he arrived in Queens. This guy is not human. He is a machine. The most dominate pitcher in the league, and the best pitcher in baseball. Hands down.

  • man what a game.... shea stadium was a crappy stadium, but we have great great fans
