I just buy a 5 Layer HEPA Material allergen filter for my shop vac for very dusty stuff. Its much cheaper than buying this vac itself.

Yes, it is much cheaper but be careful. If you are doing work that falls under EPA RRP regulations for lead abatement, your cheap filter can cost you as much as $37,500 in fines from the EPA.

I have yet to have a shop vac that lost power after having alot of junk in it. I've only had a problem with a filter on a crapy shop vac once that got clogged with drywall dust. Other than that, I've filled vacs to the brim and only knew they were full because of how heavy they were. But this advertisement disagrees

@Vacmasterthegreat The problem of losing suction only happens when collecting fine dust, as you point out with drywall dust. It's not so much the vacuum, but the size of the filter that causes the problem. It has more to do with sacrificing surface area which is critical to maintaining airflow. Small bags fill more quickly. When the dust fills to the 50% point, you've lost the capability of 50% of the bag's surface area for accommodating airflow. The Dustless bag is oversized.

The video is very informative, thanks. I ran across a company called industrial air solutions. They sale a similar vacuum, what do you think about this company Datcoart?

They seem to be an excellent source for larger, industrial solutions that cost a lot more. I could not find any product that is similar to the Dustless Wet Dry vacuum in that it is designed and priced to be within reach for the small contractor and serious do-it-yourselfer.

these vacuums are junk ive been through 2 of them in about 45 hrs of use the plastic they are made of is thin and weak when used in the sunlight the plastic gets soft and if your airflow becomes restricted(clogged or kinked hose) the lid sucks in and warps as well as the side of the can i have 40hrs on my first one..burned 4 hrs on the replacement burned...for 500 dollars thes things really suck i want my money back for this hunk of junk

It's interesting that you would say that because it is so true for so many vacuums, but not the dustless Wet Dry Vacuum. The reason is the oversized filters. They have far greater surface area to support the higher level of airflow necessary to pull fine dust out of mid air. The WonderBag can hold up to 80 lbs of dust, but the vacuum is designed to be emptied at 40 lbs so more than half of the huge filter is always available to support airflow.
