I am applying the Turtle strategy/trend following for reasons you describe. Discipline, no judgements because they get distorted in the heat of action. Simple, very simple. And Risk management no1, with decreasing Risk on drawdowns (that is what I assume is the Turtle aspect, to crawl into the shell with diminishing risk, when the market slows down.
