@fivestarlesson Not really. The only clear advantage is the 8fps on the 7D, other than that, forget about it !!!

@257photo1 Agreed! If you want video that badly, purchase an HD cam-corder. I don't know how they were shooting the D7000 on this demo, its horrible. The D7000 produces much nicer video than what they show. Obviously a plug for Canon. I know the D7000 does much better because I own one.

@fivestarlesson Actually d7000 is better for photos as the ISO range goes up and less noise than 7D, but for video 7D is way better :)

i couldn't disagree more with fivestarlesson. i use a 7D as a full-time photojournalist and own a nikon D7000 for my personal freelance set up. the d7000 out performs the 7D in every possible way; auto focusing video, more mpix stills, focuses faster and, sinks better with high end flash, not to mention the ability to use on camera flash to slave off camera strobe. i should also point out all the lenses i use with the 7D are L series. my d7000 is way better even using kit. they don't compare.

Why would someone take a D7000 over a 7D....they aren't really comparable cameras. The 7D is better.
