  • this guy is great and brings an emphasis to history that shapes politics. he talks in depth about the california deficit and the need to invest in education. good stuff.

  • but i don't see how a war over there results in safety over here. If anything, us attacking them would only INCREASE their motivation to attack us.

HOWEVER, i do apologize for my previous comments up there. I'm a bit more neautral on the subject now.

  • This guy totally seems to foreshadow the UC Berkeley protests.

  • what the name of the lecturer?

  • If the bill is positive, and is of concern to these students... I don't understand your complaint. This is not a required class to go to, seeing as it is a lecture given on a sunday... They choose to come to hear what HE has to say.

  • amerika coined the new world term first on mapped it... so therefore people attributed his name on the new world...

And columbus may have been a great explorer (although he thought navigator) but many historians revealed colombus's wrong doings to the natives of the new world..

  • In addition, this guy is manipulating an opportunity to speak about government so he can campaign and champion a bill he authored. Although the bill is positive, this is not a place to do so.

  • While I appreciate the candor of a respected politician, his political bent unfortunately perpetuates the prevalent model of thinking that has been a mainstay at Berkeley ever since its 1964 demonstrations.

  • Good point... will take anything you got.

  • Depends on what economic theory you with to observe.
