This technique has worked well for me for a while. Kids are pretty smart and as they get older I can't tell them that I'm using cold spray. But like I said ,this really works well on my little guys.

1st thing don't worry about it too much, you will work your self up and make the appointment miserable. 2nd, ask your parents and the dentist about possibly using laughing gas. A patient usually has to move, "A BUNCH" in order to get stuck in the tongue. When you know the injection is coming try to relax and be still knowing that the "poke" will only pinch for a second or two. Last if you are getting a baby tooth out and the adult tooth is under it, it won't be bad at all. You'll be OK!!

"Happy Gas" is not the end all be all. It does relax patents but you can still feel pain. I will admit that it does help.

Dr. Chandler: I wish we had more dentists like You in the world. You did it great, first of all psychologicaly, because the words often are better anaesthetics, than Lidocaine and other drugs, bravoo!!!
