@HeWhoMustBeNamed1 trust me on this, IT GETS BETTER id say around chapter 200-300 are the most interesting chapters, this is the mistake that some people make, they read the first 100 chapters and drop the manga because they think it doesn't have a story but then they miss out on all the good parts that are about to happen, i won't lie and i will say that plot development does take some time to happen but its to be expected because hayate no gotoku is a parody, its mainly for comedy, SO READ ON!

i've been reading the manga from where the anime ended and i've been wondering, does hayate no gotoku have a real story? Because i'm at chapter 149 or 139, one of them and what i see is that it doesn't really have a story in it. Those are chapters with random mini story's. Each chapter is a different story, some are 2 chapters, but still. I'm wondering if it's gonna have a long arc or something like that? Like in the anime with the "butler war arc"
