  • I know its pretty pathetic. I only speak 2 languages and I'm working on my third and I still feel inadequate!!! We've got a lot of work to do in the States on this.

  • Excellent!

There is a lot to be done as regards language learning policies in Primary Schools.

I totally agree on "the younger, the better".

  • thumbs up my other comment if you agree with it.

  • learning a second language takes time and its useless why not use this time to teach things which are more important like maths physics biology computing because the most spoke language in the world is english so why waste the time of the students by forcing them to learn a useless second language that is worth less than junk, example afrikaans and isizulu taught in schools in south africa KZN, if there is a need to learn a second language for job purposes schools offer limited selections

  • hey guys..wat kind of jobs can u get if u kow like 3 foreign languages? can u a decent jobs with only language skills? i mean..learning languages is hard as hell and lots of foreign languages experts dont get paid alot. :(

  • Well, i know what i'm doing...learning as many languages as i can, especially European languages, i always dreamed of moving to Italy with il mio amore but i never thought that learning a foreign language would help increase grey matter! Gratzi for the information

  • Americans of European descent never studied foreign languages because of the Atlantic crossing and then the western movement across the praries and across the Rocky Mountains and deserts. It was very diffictult to go back. So we just stuck with English. Most Americans will NEVER make a trip to Europe. Maybe a few in college or when you retire. I have never even traveled much in the USA. I'll do that first.

  • you spelt commission wrong at 3:04, you must speak foreign a language! me 2.

  • It was really interesting to learn the way studying languages goes in the USA. Thanks for the video :)
