SQUID HUNTING ON HWY 9

what is a squid? someone with VERY questionable riding skills. the NEW guys, they don fancy jackets and tennis shoes and call it good, they think what they ride and what they wear, determine WHO they are, when in fact, for lack of a better more down to earth statement from me THEY ARE WARNING CONES TO PASS not much else. @mtnbiker014 funny considering i have ridden that road for 20 years, and NEVER harmed or CAUSED harm to come to ANYONE, in all that time, not to mention i have raced for 8 years both regionally and nationally so if i was you i would attempt to refrain from raising your hand and YELLING "i am a squid!!" as it is rather obvious already.

I never hurt anyone or caused them to crash in all my years of riding except when someone would try and follow me, i had no mirrors so i wouldn't know they were trying until i was at the top and they came up riding on the back of some other riders bike.

It's not just gear and lack of experience that makes a squid.  In this video I saw a few squidly acts in the first 30 seconds. I'll admit your a talented rider, but the only place for riding like that is on the track. Your putting other riders at risk and clearly doing more damage to the image of sport bike riders. So in IMO you were the biggest squid on this video. Being fast on the street doesn't mean shit. There's no cash or points in it. Go to the track if you think you've got skills.

Everyone i've talked to who's ridden the track or raced says its slowed their ridding down a lot on streets, too much to lose and a lot more dangers you start noticing. A lot of people even end up not riding on the streets anymore for that very reason too.

you definitely got the Skill; what you don't have is good sense. You may not have hurt anyone yet, but you keep this up and the day will come. save this kind of riding for Track days. Track days are cheap. Skingrafts and funerals aren't.

Riders like this seem pretty good but he gives the rest a bad name

@codmw2killaz because whether or not someone gets hurt is besides the point, the activity itself is illegal and dangerous, and public roads are not a personal play area. At racetrack everyone knows the deal, we are all there for the same reason, and we accept the collective risk of being there. The minivan with a family of 5 inside of it is not driving on this road trying to take part in the Hwy 9 GP like this person.
