Motion on Pictures

The idea was to create a painting where areas would be left blank (white in this case) onto which a film is projected.
The film gives the still picture a movement, mood and an atmosphere, further coloured through sound,
thereby creating a symbiosis between the painting and the motion picture as a new art form. Since the painted area is masked within the movie, the projection does not disturb the painting, but enhances it.
The installation was first publicly displayed in Landskrona Museum, Sweden between May 23. and June 27,
2004 as a part of the "When Imagination meets the Moment" exhibition.
