In Memory of Ronnie James Dio- Long Live Rock "N" Roll

This is a version of Long Live Rock "N" Roll by Tokyo Blade from their "Live in Germany" album. The song was recorded at the Keep It True XI Festival in Wurzburg, Germany on November 15, 2008.

I (Lorenzo - ex-drummer of Tokyo Blade) am a huge Rainbow, Deep Purple and Dio fan so when asked what cover song I'd like to do on tour, I immediately responded Long Live Rock "N" Roll.

I'd just like to say the death of Ronnie has really affected me more than I thought it would, and the same goes for my brother Chuy. When we first heard he had cancer we thought we'd be ready if he didn't make it. Man, were we wrong. We immediately broke down when we got the news; it feels like we have lost a childhood friend. We both have been lucky enough to have met Ronnie James Dio more than a couple of times and as everyone has said, he was a complete gentleman who would do anything for his fans.

Also, this video and performance is dedicated to Ronnie James Dio and is my way of saying a big THANK YOU to Ronnie for everything he has done for Rock-N-Roll!

Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys this little video I put together. I'm so proud to have recorded a Rainbow song and consider it to be one of the greatest moments in my musical career. A BIG thanks to Chris Gillen for his amazing vocals, I think Ronnie would have really liked your performance......\m/
