2009 Men's Big 10 Cross Country Championship at 0.5 miles

The 2009 Men's Big Ten Championship was held at the Pennsylvania State University Golf Course State College, PA. The 5.2 mile course is located on the Western end of campus. The start/finish is near the corner of North Atherson (US 322) and West Park Avenue.

The morning of 1.November.2009 everyone had an extra hour to sleep, thanks to the end of daylight savings time. The race started at 10:45 am with temps in the 50's. The weather was sunny changing to partly cloudy and the field was in good running condition.

Participating teams where:
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Wisconsin won the team title with 26 points and the top individual was Hassan Mead with a winning time of 25:00.2. Race results can be found at:
