Following Andrew Ference's remarks regarding Dan Paille's questionable hit, Don Cherry expresses his opinion with a passion that only Don Cherry can deliver. Andrew Ference's remarks have insulted many people with what most would describe as a classless attempt at garnering some media attention.

  • Dan Paille was scouted for his work ethic and great/hard hitting style! He's living up to his name!

  • his head was down the whole way

  • If it was a clean hit, the Cooke on Savard was too. And IMO, both are dirty.

  • Look like an elbow to me

  • @marsouiccgg and Rome

  • Gota love nesn this is the exact same thing cooke did to savard but the say he was playing the puck....bunch of idiots

  • Dirty, Bruins don't need this.

  • @marsouiccgg the cooke hit was targeting the head a bit more and more elbow was involved, but this paille hit was mostly shoulder on shoulder

  • ok come on it was very differnt savard will never be the same after the matt cooke hit you dumbfuck it was shoulder to shoulder

  • I find it very interesting that here we have Ference talking about dirty hits, when not two weeks ago he gave one of the dirtier hits I've seen this year on McDonagh(NYR).

Easy to criticize,eh Andrew? And Don's right. If you've got something to say to/about a teammate? Say it to their face...not the media.

  • @sahotafam This player had the puck in his possession at the time of the hit.

  • whats the different between this hit and the rome hit on horton in the scf?

  • @kllklklklklklklklklk that rule was put there to protect these guys, but at the same time, young kids watching need to learn to keep your head up. Is it really worth keeping control of the puck if you get a career ending concussion? If you want to be a top player, then you need to know how to protect the puck AND yourself. but yeah, no one wants to see head shots in the game but when you're leaning so far down that your head is at shoulder height, I don't think it's fair to call it a headshot.
