I truly believe in his principle, everyone should be treated equally and "separate is not equal". Why separate gays from gays. I am not gay but I know many gay people who are super nice, down to earth, and open minded. Some even have kids and they make great parents, much better that some crazy, abusive straight couples. The weather sucks, the ocean is never as warm as the coldest day in the Gulf of Mexico, your beaches are either filthy or only accessible by mountain goats, the houses are expensive, and everything smells like a damp basement. And if San Francisco hadn't been "taken over" in the 1960's (or the 1950's or the 1940's as every generation believes their city was perfect before 'those people' came) it would probably look more like Oakland than anyplace else. The timeframe you are talking about is one in which nearly every major city in the US changed drastically, as the suburbs expanded. I don't know what your claim to SF is, but it's not superior to many of the gay community there. The most you can be is a native.

one man, one woman was and still is God's intent and no amount of perverted so-called marriages will ever change that. leave it to fallen man to pervert everything God instituted from the creation of Adam ane Eve. man still has not learned that not everything that feels good is good for you. and not everything that seems right is right. God alone defines what is right, and He created the woman for the man. and deviation from that is perversion and ridiculous. california and Newsom got it wrong.
