  • Hey Renlex,

Power Tron's are humbuckers and sound more like a traditional gibson than stock filtertrons in a Gretsch. They still sound more like a Gretsch than a Gibson, a little more clarity I'd say. A lot of people love the sound of Power Tron pickups. A Dou-Jet is not a Les Paul though, it is a different concept. They are much lighter in weight and have a little more air around the notes too. Make no mistake though, they rock hard, with or without distortion. Hope this helps you.

  • i've got a the same guitar on order right now. Ur making me jealous.

    Nice job

  • Hey Hagtar12, great job on the videos, especially on "Revolution" can you do one for "Everybody's got something to hide except me and my monkey?"

    Thanks, PTM

  • Elvis is dumb.

  • love the guitar, i'm a newbie, looking at either the duo jet or this, but thanks for the video, thank you very much hahaha, love it!!

  • i'm confused with those kind of pickups... do they sound like humbuckers? i want to get a power jet for the amazing look and the bigsby but i'd need a humbucker sound

  • Your fantastic, dont change. LOL thats hilarious.

By the way that little pinky slide at 2:14 is quite difficult for someone who has hands like a muchkin. Namely me. You must have hands like a catchers mitt.

  • I'll do more videos, maybe at Christmas time. Thanks, Tom

  • Thanks but I'm trying to reduce volume since I haven't played out in about a year. I put 6v6's in to lower the wattage but it's still freakin loud. Played with a band using the 6v6's and was plenty loud. Hope to see you do some more vids with the Encore!

  • I almost switched to the Cajuns. Still may at some point. It sounds GREAT with the additional 12. Loud and full and very Fendery. If you want, I can give you the name of the cabinet maker. He was good and cheap too.
